Event: The Mauritius Meteorological Service has issued a cyclone warning Class 4 for tropical cyclone BATSIRAI. The U.S. Embassy is limited in providing any emergency service during the storm.

Stay abreast of the latest bulletin from the Mauritius Meteorological Service by calling the local number 171 (mobile) or 8996 (fixed line) or monitoring local radio, the National Weather Service, and local media to stay aware of any weather developments in their area.

The France Meteorological Service – Reunion has issued a cyclone orange alert. Caution is urged in the South-Eastern, East, and Northern regions. Remain informed by monitoring the latest bulletins from Meteo-France, communications from the prefecture, and local press.

The U.S. Embassy in Port Louis will remain closed on February 2, 2022.
