Interview Waiver Program
We are pleased to announce that effective June 14, 2016, we will start accepting drop off visa renewal applications at the Embassy for crew members who were issued, within the past 4 years, C1/D visas and who were fingerprinted.
Some conditions apply: The applicant needs to be physically present in Mauritius or Seychelles but does not need to come in person to the Embassy to submit the passport and supporting documents.
- Drop off of passports, visa confirmation page, employment letter will only be on Tuesdays between 13:30 and 14:00.
- A list of applicants with the names (as per the passport – Last name, and given names) and dates of birth should be forwarded via email to PTLConsular@state.gov prior to the drop off day to check eligibility for the interview visa waiver.
- On the drop off day, i.e. Tuesday between 13:30 and 14:00, the visa application fee of $160 should be paid and a receipt will be handed to the person delivering the passport/s and applications.
- The collection of the visa will be on the following Monday, i.e. 6 days after the drop off, between 14:00 and 15:00.
