The Consular Section offers American Citizens Services during specific hours. American citizens traveling abroad are strongly encouraged to register with the Embassy using STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program).

U.S. citizens should take note of information on Ebola Virus Disease and the screening process provided below.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires that all persons traveling to the United States from Guinea enter the United States through one of the five airports with enhanced screening and resources – New York’s Kennedy, Newark’s Liberty, Washington’s Dulles, Chicago’s O’Hare, and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airports. Enhanced entry screening has been discontinued for Sierra Leone and Liberia.

U.S. passports Execution fee will increase to  $35

Effective April 02, 2018, the passport execution fee will increase from $25 to $35.  The $10 execution fee increase only applies to U.S. passport using the DS-11 form, such as first-time applicants over 16 and applicants who re-apply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.

The $10 fee increase does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passport using the DS-82 form.
