On March 18, 2019 Ambassador Reimer opened his residence to the fine arts students of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGI) for a viewing of his “Art in Embassies” collection, “one of the biggest american modern art collection in Africa.” Inspired by the collection, the students sketched in the gardens of Macarty House led by their teachers Nirveda Alleck and Veemanda Curpen. Their artwork will be exhibited at the MGI on April 2nd.
If like Ms. Alleck, you are an arts educator and want your students to view an American modern art exhibit, Ambassador David Reimer and Mrs. Simonetta Reimer welcome you. Send us an email on portlouispas@gmail.com and we’ll take it from there.
