George Herbert Walker Bush, who served as the 41st President of the United States, died on November 30 at the age of 94.
Ambassador Bill Hagerty issued a statement saying, “My family and I extend our deepest sympathies to the Bush family. President George H.W. Bush’s leadership, humility, and commitment to public service inspired me and countless others.”
President Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation and declared a National Day of Mourning on Wednesday, December 5. The Embassy in Mauritius and the Consular Agency in Seychelles will be closed on that day.
